Why Alison and Geoffrey Knight chose Bank Cottage

We fell in love with the cottage when we saw it. Our hearts ruled the day and we made the decision on the spot to buy it, having had no previous intention of making such a purchase, just a vague plan that one day we might buy a holiday home.

A little about the owners;

Geoffrey and Alison have been married over 32 years and have three children. Their eldest (daughter) lives and works in London and their (middle) son has just graduated from University.  Their youngest son is presently studying Computer Science at University.  They live in North Worcester, only 20 minutes away from the cottage but have all enjoyed the cottage themselves for visits, parties and holidays. They find that when they leave the almost-bustling city of Worcester and reach Bank Cottage they enter another world, one of peace and beauty.

Geoffrey was an Officer in the RFA/Merchant Navy for 40 years and is now retired.  He is currently working on a stables renovation.  Alison is a busy housewife. Renting the cottage for holiday lets will eventually ease them gently into retirement. They say that people who retire from the Navy want to get away from the water but when the cottage isn't being let, Geoffrey can be found marching up and down the balcony barking orders at Alison (which she ignores) and splicing his mainbrace.

The Knights purchased Bank Cottage in 2013.
