Excellent, relaxing and tranquil weekend away...

We all loved it and even the dogs were well behaved.

Great weekend, fantastic birthday celebrations and excellent run into Birmingham to see Annie - my 6 year old daughter had a ball.

Thanks for everything Alison, appreciate all your help to get this organised and we even talked about coming back for a night sat out on the decking by the river!

Bank Cottage nestles in a stunning rural location. Sleeping up to 7, it is ideal for fishing, birdwatching, boating or just realxing.

Approached by a narrow, short lane, our beautiful holiday home is but 20 metres from the River Severn with spectacular views across the river and the flood plain opposite, particularly from the patio, lounge and front-facing rooms providing a Constable-like peace and tranquillity.

The cottage is 250 years old, and formerly used by the local Ferryman. Many original features have been kept, adding to its charm; exposed oak beams, old style doors with lift-up latches and a small Inglenook with a log burner in the cosy second lounge at the back of the house.

The garden runs parallel to the river, providing 70 metres of fishing and mooring rights. A new jetty and slipway have recently been constructed with safe access down to the water's edge.
